I teach creative writing, literature, exposition, and folklore in the English Department at Towson University in Maryland. My poetry has appeared in Poetry Daily, 32 Poems, Copper Nickel, The Missouri Review, Colorado Review, Pleiades, The Cincinnati Review, and other journals. My fiction has appeared in the American Literary Review, and my reviews and essays have appeared in The Emily Dickinson Journal, Pleiades Reviews, American Book Review, and elsewhere. Acetylene, my first book of poems, won the Cider Press Review Book Award and appeared in 2010.
